Doula support

As a doula, I'm your companion on the journey toward the birth of your baby.
I offer emotional, physical, and practical support along the way, starting from your specific needs.
With a focus on strengthening (self-)confidence, (self-)awareness, and (self-)love, we work together toward a positive and empowering birth experience for both parents and baby.

Below, you can read what I can offer you as a doula in each phase of this journey:

During pregnancy

In at least three prenatal sessions, we take the time to get to know each other better.
I listen to your ideas, expectations, and wishes about what lies ahead.
There may also be fears, doubts, or worries — these can all be discussed in complete confidence.

I provide clear and thorough explanations about the course of both non-medicalised and medicalised births, so you feel well-prepared and able to make informed decisions.
I support you in creating a birth plan for different scenarios.
I teach you hands-on relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, and birthing positions.
I offer personalised reading and listening recommendations.

I place great importance on the physical comfort of the pregnant person: through massage, acupressure, rebozo techniques, Spinning Babies®, and more, I help keep your body in balance.
I also assist you in encouraging an optimal position for your baby toward the end of pregnancy.

During labour and birth

Continuity of care is one of the greatest strengths a doula brings to the birth experience.
Whether you give birth at home, in a birth centre, or in the hospital, I stay by your side throughout the entire process, helping to protect your birthing bubble. I offer encouragement and emotional and practical support, while also sensing when it's best to give you space.

If you'd like, I can also take a few photos where possible to help capture the moment.

From week 38 onward, I am officially "on call," which means you can reach me day or night if you think labor may be starting. This allows me to be with you in time.
After the birth, I stay for about an hour, depending on the circumstances.

Planning a home birth with older children present?
I'm happy to support you in that as well, with extra attention to their experience.

Postpartum

After the birth, I'll come to your place for at least one postnatal session, scheduled at a moment that feels right for you. Together, we reflect on your birth experience and try to piece together the parts that might feel heavy or unclear. You'll also receive a written version of your birth story, which can be incredibly valuable during the processing and integration afterward.

If you wish, additional postnatal sessions can, of course, be arranged.

My doula support package* includes:

- 3 prenatal sessions of approximately 2 hours in my practice

- unlimited contact via email or WhatsApp

on-call availability from 38 weeks, 24/7

- continuous presence at your birth, regardless of its duration

1 postpartum session at your home

* This is what a basic package looks like, but I like working tailor-made. Feel free to contact me to discuss your specific wishes.

Investment

The total cost for this doula support package is €990 (excluding travel expenses), payable in two installments.
Some health insurance funds or hospitalisation policies may offer partial reimbursement, so be sure to check.

As my doula client, you can also book a prenatal massage during your pregnancy for €80 instead of €90.

Interested in working together?
I like to have a short introductory meeting by phone, video call, or live in my practice. After that you can still decide if you want to embark on the journey together.

Prenatal sessions

If you're less interested in a full doula package with support during labor but still want to prepare well for what's ahead, I also offer prenatal sessions individually.
We'll agree in advance what the focus of each session should be.

Investment:
€95 per session of approximately 2 hours in my practice
OR €275 for a package of 3 sessions
